Privacy Act

The Privacy Act 1988 in Australia and the Privacy Act 2020 in New Zealand.

The laws that govern how organisations collect, hold and use personal information. Both apply to a tutoring centre holding student and parent details, and to any supplier holding them on the centre's behalf. Both include notifiable data breach schemes. The practical response for a centre is to collect as little as possible and know where it's held.
