StudyPro
Independent tutoring centres

You've built fifteen years of material. It's doing nothing between Tuesdays.

Your worksheets, notes and practice papers are the thing that makes you different from the centre down the road. They live in a drawer. We turn them into your own learning platform, with your name on it, and a report to every parent every fortnight.

What it's like now

The week most centres are running.

  • Term 4 is the killer

Exams finish, the holidays hit, and a share of your students quietly don't come back. They didn't leave because your teaching was bad. Nothing happened between sessions and their parents couldn't see progress.

  • Nothing happens in the six days

Ninety minutes with you. Then six days of nothing, or a photocopied sheet that comes back half done and unmarked.

  • The parent can't see the work

They pay every term. They judge you on a school report you didn't write. A parent who can't see progress assumes there isn't any.

  • Sunday night is marking

You're the owner, the principal, and the person marking last week's worksheets at 10pm.

Weeks 3 and 4, Term 1
Year 6 Selective, Tuesday 4pm
Dear Mr and Mrs Sharma,

Over the last fortnight Priya completed 5 of 6 assigned sets from our Year 6 fractions program. Her accuracy on adding fractions with unlike denominators moved from 25% to 67%, which is the skill we worked on in class on the 14th. Word problems are the next focus.

The week on the platform

Same classes. Same material. A different Monday.

  1. 1Tuesday, after class

Assign this week's set from your material to the whole class. Three clicks.

  2. 2Wednesday to Sunday

Students work through it on their phones. Marked instantly. Stuck? An explanation from your page.

  3. 3Monday, 9am

You see who did it, who didn't, and the topic the class got wrong. That's Tuesday's lesson.

  4. 4Every second Friday

Each parent gets a report with your logo. What improved, what's next.

A good fit when

Who this is built for.

  • You have material worth converting

A shared drive, or a filing cabinet with a scanner nearby. Three years or more of it.

  • You teach and you decide

Owner-operators who are in the room and can say yes without a committee.

  • Forty to a few hundred students

Small enough that every parent matters, big enough that Sunday marking hurts.

What converts

The material centres like yours usually start with.

  • Weekly worksheets by year level
  • Topic notes and rule sheets
  • Practice papers with answer keys
  • Homework sheets
  • Term tests

Typed documents, clean PDFs and decent scans convert best. We flag anything that won't before it's converted.

Questions

From tutoring centres we've talked to.

We use a scheduling tool already. Does this replace it?
No. Keep it. Rosters, invoices and bookings stay where they are. We're the part with your teaching material in it. The two don't overlap.
My tutors are mostly university students. Will they use it?
They set work in three clicks and read a heatmap. In our experience the tutor's favourite moment is Monday morning, when they know what the class got wrong before anyone walks in.
Pricing

Priced so a few retained students pays for it.

One setup fee, one monthly fee, everything included in every plan. Not per student, because we want every student on it.

Australian dollars, ex GST. New Zealand pricing on studypro.co.nz.
